1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website.
They help websites function properly and improve user experience.
2. How We Use Cookies
ClearChoiceHealth uses limited cookies to:
- Maintain session state during comparison flows
- Improve performance and stability
- Analyse anonymised usage trends
- Support security and fraud prevention
We do not use cookies for targeted advertising.
3. Types of Cookies Used
Essential Cookies
Required for website functionality and security.
This includes browser storage that keeps your answers in your own tab while you work through the questions, so a refresh or an accidental Back does not lose your progress. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and is erased when you close the tab (or immediately, if you choose “Start again” on the home page).
Analytics Cookies
Used to understand aggregate usage patterns. These do not identify individuals.
We use Google Analytics for this. The Google Analytics script is not requested at all until you accept. If you have not answered yet, or have only ever declined, your browser never loads it and no analytics cookie is set.
If you accept and later change your mind, we stop collecting straight away, switch off the script already running in the page, and delete the Google Analytics cookies we can reach. Any we cannot reach stay until they expire or you clear them through your browser settings.
4. Managing Cookies
You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings.
Disabling essential cookies may affect site functionality.
You can also change your cookie preferences at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the site footer. It shows the choice you currently have set, and lets you change it.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy periodically. Updated versions will be posted on this page.
